Information about Karttarekisteri and how to use it
Karttarekisteri contains orienteering maps produced in Finland in 2006 and later, as well as some orienteering maps completed in 2005 and earlier. The map view also shows areas under competition and training embargoes.
Click on an area in the map view to see more detailed information about the map or embargo. The information may also show the contact details of the map coordinators of the club that owns the map, if they have chosen to share them publicly.
An orienteer can browse orienteering maps and training embargoes located in different parts of Finland and find the clubs and contact persons responsible for them without logging in.
The club's map coordinator maintains information about the club's maps and training embargoes, and applies for mapping permits in accordance with SSL's permit procedure.
The region's map coordinator processes the region's mapping permit applications.
